Poker Coaching: World Record

I think I've firmly established a world record this month in the world of poker coaching. This isn't a brag, this is more of a "dang I have a sore throat."

Before the month is over, I will have logged 60 coaching sessions this month. Even though I can't play poker, you better believe I still know what I'm doing. Heck, in my humble opinion, I am way better now than I ever was when I could play. I owe the majority of this to a lot of the players I have been coaching. I learn from them every day.

I work a 9-5 job doing what I do. In all actuality, it's 830-530ish, but who's counting? But it's not even all the coaching that keeps me going during these hours (minus a lunch break in the middle). I am constantly active all day.

So many people ask, what do you do now that you can't play? Here is what an average day looks like for me.

730am Wake Up
830am Emails & Website Logistics or Coaching #1 on days it applies
1000am Coaching #1 or 2 (or webinar on Fridays)
1130am Coaching #2 or 3
100pm Lunch
200pm Coaching #3 or 4
330pm Coaching #4 or 5
500pm Emails & Website Logistics
530pm Finish I hope

Then my soon-to-be-wife comes home, we eat dinner, perhaps take the dogs on a walk, watch some TV, and do it all over again the next day.

At this point, if online poker was legalized, I don't even think I'd consider playing it.

Well, it's just about 330pm, time for coaching session #4 with my man Paul Chen!!

My Halloween Costume

Just a question to start with: Do other countries celebrate/dress up/trick or treat for Halloween?

I'm just wondering what to dress up like this year. Maybe something to highlight this year's events. Here are my ideas.

This seems fitting as a body suit.

Or I could go as these:

Representing all the games good players lose cause they can't finish.

Maybe I could go as

for all the players who moved to Canada.

Or maybe as our new favorite player:

You're awesome, Howard. ...gtfo

And finally, which I think is what I will go as

representing the amount of money I lost on FTP. Too bad I need to find more Ks to make this work.

Ok, nvm, maybe I'll just go as something a bit more conventional:

Amazing!

This is incredible.

how does he do this?

Poker players think 2 outers are the ultimate slap in the face. But this happens 5% of the time. 1 in 20, 1,000,000 of 20,000,000 times.

Doing an alley-oop like this? Has it ever been done?

I remember a play that was the most incredible sports play I've ever seen. But I can't find it.

I challenge you to find this, it would be amazing!

Here is all I know about it...
Horace Grant, Chicago Bulls or Orlando Magic, Basketball, running out of bounds behind the back 3 pointer, was featured as a top 10 play of the decade for the 1990s.

Can someone find it plz!!

Full Tilt Poker? Ruh Roh

Dear Howard Lederer,
I do not like you.

Dear Chris Ferguson,
I do not like you.

Dear Other People Involved,
I believe I speak on behalf of many when I say, I do not like you.

Recent news seems to be not so great as seen here.

A comment says that perhaps the only players receive money back are players with 10,000 or more owed to them.

Unfortunately, I have 7.8k frozen - dispersed through 5-6 accounts. This money, ironically, was going to be used to pay the government taxes. Now it cannot.

In a world where one player owes me 2.5k, FTP owes me 7.8k, and real life expenses including wedding, honeymoon, taxes, etc are accruing, I look at Chris Ferguson and think one thing...

Sigh.
