So a friend of a friend got 3rd in the 55r scoop for basically the same amount as the buy in but swap the r for k. Just saying cause it makes me feel involved lol cause I don't really know him but it's majorily awesome - congrats jigga_wigga.
I heard someone say something on TV today in the string of a bunch of sentences, so it wasn't like he was trying to say something profound. But it kinda hit me. He said,
"If you want to have something you've never had, you have to do things you've never done."
These are some pretty startling words if you really think about them. It's so simple yet so powerful at the same time no matter what topic you relate it to. The show was just about weight loss and even though it's so cliche to talk about weight loss in poker blogs because we all sit around so much, it just made me think. If you want something new, you have to do something different.
What he said put me in one of those honest moods, and it got me thinking about how rude I've been in the past to one particular player. I'm almost (I hope) never mean to anyone, but I always seemed to butt heads with one guy cause he always seemed to get the best of me no matter who held what cards. Ya, I've had my huge beats vs. him but no matter what happened he always made the right play no matter what the results were. In all honestly, I actually think this guy is one of the best players out there even though I've never seen his results since he blocks his sharkscope. So, sorry for being rude, cause I respect your game a lot J0ff.
And one more thing while I'm thinking about it. I made a pick for who I thought would come out of no where and crush 16s this year. And so far it's coming true. I think one of the best regs out there who gets overlooked is Roy4lPl4yor. I think he is ridiculously good. Damn, I should have staked him!
Ok, and ONE more thing haha. A riddle. Really hard. Got it from Ken Jennings' blog. For those of you who don't know him just WIKI him because he is the most baller person on the face of the earth. 74 Jeppardy wins in a row for 2.2 million...ARE U KIDDING ME??? His riddle is something like this: take a well known world city. Change the sound of the vowel from it's long sound to it's short sound. (for example, when you say "apple" the a sound is short. If you say a vowel aloud the way you pronounce the letter by itself - like the A in "hate" it is a long vowel. So "hate" becomes "hat" if you change the vowel from long to short). If you make the city name's vowel the short sound, it gives you the name of that city's country.
note: the spelling does not necessarily remain the same for the city/country. You will hear the answer in the SOUND of the word not the spelling. Man, it's hard:).
