Where I Worked Before I Played Poker *OMG I'M A PANSY*

So the last few days have been pretty crazy. I've looked my fear straight in the eye and went for it. My fear? New games. I'm always afraid of new games. I think I can't beat them or I'm not good enough. For those of you who don't know, I used to play non turbos. Biggest waste of time ever. I've played, hmmm...maybe 15k of them. YIKES! Like 9k 20s and 3k 30s and then others when I started playing way in the beginning. I was petrified of 9 man turbos. Never had the balls. Every time I dabbled in them, I got my ass handed to me. I remember in January 08 (before even playing seriously) plotting a plan to quit my job WORKING AT AN AFTER SCHOOL DAY CARE OMFG I SAID IT IT'S OUT IN THE OPEN. Why? To play pokahz! I didn't wanna believe it was a day care. I just thought, hey, it's an after school program, that's it. Well, when you graduate from a University (UCDAVIS) and make a whopping $12/hr working in a classroom...it kinda takes a toll on you. It was pathetic. I was in denial. Yes, I worked in a day care. This is actually the first time I'm admitting it to myself. Sheesh.
So on that fateful day in January I remember pulling out a piece of paper and plotting my numbers. 3000 6.50s a month. .60/gm for 10%ish roi. Boom. $1800/mo. I was making $950/mo at this job part time. Ya, I can do it I thought. So I remember loading my first set of 24 6.50s on my 14 inch dell laptop TILED (overlap though) with ZERO hot keys, NO time bank clicker, and NO IDEA what to shove in any spot. Seriously, zero clue. And I wanted to be a "pro." lol, it's laughable. Got crushed ldo. Killed. Eventually though, at the end of April I quit my job after having the best wkend ever of like +800. At this time I was playing $20+2s. After I quit, I made less money in 3 months than I would have from that old job. I was worried. So I started playing harder, practicing non turbos. Started doing 20s/30s. But never turbos. I dreamed of 16s, but was freaked of them. For those who don't know, I never played 16s for real until Feb 1st this yr when I made the switch permanently. I don't think I had a decent grasp on them till May. Woot, overcame my fear of turbos. I worked crazy hard though. Plastered ranges in my room like Michael Scolfield plotting his brother's escape in Prison Break. Seriously, it was that crazy.
So my new fear I'm trying to conquer is the 180s. For the last 3 days I've played them hard. Finally won my first today. I wanna get good at these so bad. Just, randoms galore. It's nice not to be with envision every bubble I ever play. I envision a sng without envision, k thx. But I thought it was worth mentioning, that the final hand of the 180 made me shit myself. It was like beating the Yankees. Unbeatable.

  1. What is your purpose of playing 180's ?

Do you think, that 16's are not so profitable in these days or you just need some change ?

  2. Change. Plus, I'm just sick and tired of the same people over and over again. Not to mention, 180s are so much more profitable and fun.
